Hush you, there only "talking points" if he disagrees with them. If they support what he wants they are well thought out, supported, and documented facts. Questioning them would be wrong. I only bother to actually read what he writes for amusement anymore because the thought process can be summed up as:

Dems good, Republicans bad.

Regardless of the facts or evidence this is going to always be the conclusion. It has reached the point of the boy who cried wolf. Even when the facts do support his conclusion you just roll your eyes at it.

Anyone not using fossil fuels for energy can complain about how we get them. I find it ironic that the people whining that the federal government does not mobilize quickly enough (read vast use of resources that come from fossil fuels) whine about the use of fossil fuels in the same complaint.

Addendum to fossil fuels: Please note that this means more than just fuel, it also really means ANY hydrocarbon based product. Like most plastics, and many pharmaceuticals. If you've never been through an integrated chemical plant, it's amazing what can be manufactured from hydrocarbons. More than half of the processes would kill you quickly if they became un-contained. (heck, the nitrogen in the plant could kill you if it's leaking hard enough).

Using electricity generated how? Traveling down insulated copper wires manufactured how? Wearing clothing dyed how? The list could go on indefinetly I expect. I know there are exceptions but most people doing some of the loudest shouting are shouting to cover their own ignorance with noise.

This is what I don't understand about the draw of electrical cars as a green energy option. What is the savings of converting all the fossil fuels in electric plants into energy to charge these cars over conventional gasoline powered car emissions?

I always wondered, in areas of high population (where fully electric cars are most likely to be used) that ALREADY SUFFER ROLLING "BROWNOUTS" whats going to happen when everyone tries to charge the car? Not everyone is going to use a timed circuit, we know that right?

I find the term "fossil fuels" funny... given that they drill it up in Russia from thousands of feet... under solid rock... how does plant/animal matter get down there?

IMO we should just stop using energy. and stop breathing, too, since we just spew CO2 every second of the day.

I wasnt trying to malign CNN's credibility.
But if I ever did try to malign CNN's credibility I would fail.
Because for me to malign their credibility they would first have to have some credibility.
And they are absolutely void of any credibility
They have none.
No credibility.
No gravitas.
