Say I wanted to take pictures similar in quality to these, what type of equipment and cost am I looking at? I'm fresh out of a battle with substance abuse and I really need to put my energy into something positive. Photography has always interested me, but to the newcomer its all so confusing.

Photography is like any other hobby that requires gear. It will cost you every dime you can spare. That being said, you can realisticly get started for >$1,000.

            These are incredible!

I'm looking to decorate my pool room. Was going to go with dogs playing pool paintings. Considering these now instead. I'll ponder that before asking.

              Thank you kindly!

Any AO'ers that want a print of any of my images can PM me. Ill be glad to send you a printable file.

That bottom sunset is a super-huge, 9 frame pano. It would probably print up to 6'.

Seriously though, I dont. Just like any other kind of hunting it takes patience. A calm, steady approach. Dont cast shadows on them (they bolt.) Did I mention patience? Oh, and persistance. Ive spent maaaaaaaaaany soggy, unproductive hours getting eaten up by mosquitos, chiggers, gnats, fire ants, horse flys, etc.... And yet, I still find they bother me less than people.

lol thats awesome. Still you hear about those guys who spend 3+ months in a tree top for one shot of a rare bird or something and you wonder how in the hell they have the patience for it. You've gotta be more zen than a buddhist monk.

                incredible pictures man!
