    Finding a metal song?

Well i like some metal but my knowledge of it is pretty poor, so i need some help. I am looking for a metal song that fades out around 7:45 and 7:55, and it has to have a fast guitar part. When i say fast i mean shredding fast. I've been looking, and i've found songs that fit, but none have a fast enough guitar part, so if anyone knows of a song that meets this criteria, i would much appreciate the title. Thanks.

    Call of Ktulu - Metallica
Starts slow, but has some serious shredding. Starts to fade at about 7:50 but comes back up at 8:25 for 0:25 of heavy awesomeness. It wouldn't sound weird if you cut it out after 8:00; to be honest the end is kind of unnecessary and doesn't lend much to the song.

    Flood - Tool
Not exactly metal, per se, but some really heavy riffs and lots of palm muting. Song ends at 7:45 exactly.

***more to come as i search through 1.2tb of music - thanks George Boole***

Is this for a video or something? It isn't hard to edit music, especially if you're already editing the video and (I would assume) the audio from the original recording. You'll have a tough time find good thrash that's 8 minutes long; most of the genre consists of short 2-3 minute rage tunes. Most ballads and epics have facemelters tossed in throughout them but very few have consistent "shredding". You might do better to find a few songs you like and make something with that.

Either way, I hope this helps - my guess is you'll find what you need in the form of an 8-10 minute instrumental.

      I second Call of Ktulu.
Hard to beat Metallica for long metal. Kirk can really rip the strings too.

Iron Maiden "Los for Words" is a nice long instrumental and I know they have a few others but I can't think of any of the song titles right now. Although you can't go wrong with Metallica either.

It's for a video, my friend wants me to run a car around the Ring with my wheel in GT5 and see if i can beat the song, hence the range of times, i should be somewhere in there with the car we picked (lambo gallardo). However i would prefer to not use metallica, not really a fan, i'll give the others a try though. Thanks everyone.

EDIT: I forgot, it's supposed to be me "racing" the guitarist which is why i would like copious amounts of fast guitar. We have some other songs, but that requires a faster, and harder to control, car.

From what I can remember slayers song gemini was pretty long, with a fade out but it comes back in with drums mostly.
If your looking for cool thrashy tunes with wild drumming, you can't go wrong with sepultura.
Exodus also have some longer songs too.
            Pat.
