Magnesium, aluminum and titanium, which aircraft are about 100% structurally made out of will burn FOREVER!!! and burn at stupid temps which will incinerate anything and everything around them to include everyone on the plane, not to mention the fuel. If anything survived the 5,000*F oven, the fuel would have defiantly finished it off. Normal fire fighter units or what ever they're called aren't equipped to handle aircraft fires. Throwing water on the situation will only make it worse and cause an explosion of molten shrapnel going every which way.

There's only 2 ways to deal with it. Let it burn out or bring a few 20 halon truck. When the gov said it vaporized, that's exactly what happened..

no 747 hit the pentagon, its was the smaller 757, just an fyi.

are you suggesting they duct taped those 757 parts onto the outside of the missile before flying it into the pentagon??

and yeah, try reading it..

also, you think the fins of the turbine are going to survive the impact?? thats just the 'hub' of the large turbine.

Airplanes tend to fall apart when they hit things, even under favorable conditions.

This doesn't look like a typical crash because it's not a typical crash.

In a typical crash, the crew is doing everything they can to stay in the air.

In this 'crash', the 'pilots' were balls to the wall 550+mph controlled flight into terrain.

Also, the pentagon is huge. I really think thats what throws a lot of people off...is that they don't realize exactly how enormous that building is.

ETA: Also, there aren't really many magnesium parts in the b757 (I can't really think of any as a matter of fact). Most of the Mg parts that were on older civilian A/C's (MD's and older BAC jets) are now made of Al alloys or Ti.

Ever been to a high speed aircraft impact site? The largest parts can fit in your hand, including those parts from human bodies. What isn't shredded, get burned to nothing in the resulting fire from tons of fuel. Despite that, they found plenty of aircraft parts that were easily identified. PICS FROM FLIGHT 93 IMPACT
