No oil leaks, but the stupid person didn't change the oil for 8,000 miles, and it was low so it does have a slight tick. My first one had no problems

Actually, IROC stood for Italian Retard Out Cruisin'
or just International Race Of Champions.

i like all vehicles, yeah, fords may break alot, but that just gives me something to work on, and a reason to put high performance parts in when they break dont get me wrong, my bronco has 350,000 miles and going strong. i love chevy too, well, the old chevy anyway, nothing like a 76 suburban raised on 35's but mopar, oh sweet mopar, how i love thee

Its more fun to replace working parts with preformance parts, that way you can sell them

I have driven a new hemi in a 2500 ram quad cab 4x4. They are not that impressive, oh sure they run pretty good, but try 9.2 mpg on the highway. I drove a 600 mile round trip in that ram in one day, and 9.2 was the average milage as recorded by the trucks trip computer. My old carburated 460 can pull that off, and that is an a '85 F350 crew cab 4x4 with 4.56 gears and 35" tires - and no overdrive.

                        Just facts, no opinions there.

Wow, 9.2 is bad, its supposed to be 13 city, 18 highway although its always lower. Ive heard claims of 12-14 city, no idea why your getting 9.2, lots of time idling or in traffic? And it probably has the towing gears. In my experiance those milage things in the car arn't very accurate either.

90% interstate highway and the rest was city. The trip from here to Denver was empty and the return trip had about 65 cases of paint in the back (hehe, the story is even paintball related ). The truck was a rental with only 1500 miles on it, so maybe it will get better once the motor breaks in more. The biggest problem I see is that the transmission ratios suck. There is a HUGE gap from 3rd to 4th and pulling some of the passes on the way to Denver the truck would downshift and go from 3000 rpm to around 5000 rpm, it was impossible to find a happy medium, either lugging or screaming. The nature of the overhead cam motor means it has crap for power until the revs come up, and the "hemi" has nada below 3000, it just wouldn't pull the passes without spinning it hard.

oh, dont worry about it, im used to bad milage. my 1970 plymouth duster has a 426 hemi in it, and last i checked, it got 7.5 highway. if you want a muscle car, expect bad milage. i have an 84 bronco, i dropped a crate 350 in the pig and the milage dropped to about 10 mpg, then i did some engine mods and put long tube headers on it, ran the pipes out right behind the front wheels, underneath the runningboards, and the mpg dropped to about 8mpg just from the exhaust. but hey, it pays to have that nice rumble as you drive

                              p.s.

my 89 cadillac fleetwood brougham get the best mileage of all my vehicles, and it only gets 12 highway.

Hmm, I would think that headers would increase your gas milage.
