You must have missed my earlier quotable from long ago so I must repeat it...

"building a cocker from scratch is like being pecked to death by chickens"

Enjoy! It sounds like a great way to spend a rainy....year!

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

Chickens with no beaks... Belive me I tried It took a week to get the timing right.

I definately suggest palmer parts. No other, once you go palmer there is no turning back. Works extremely well and is 10 times more reliable.
Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

Belive me I tried It took a week to get the timing right.
Just depends on the person. It can take some people a LONG time to assemble and time everything properly, where as others can have everything together in under an hour. My brother is one of the latter. He got a used 99' cocker for his 12th birthday that was completely messed up. Sure enough, by the end of the evening, he managed to time it to perfection and loved every minute of the process.

Keep tabs on PBC and PBNation. People usually intend to build a cocker from scratch, buy half the parts, and then decide it will be too costly to complete. A friend of mine picked up a reverse P block Merlin body for $150 from one of those people. Milling and anno are your choice, but it gets costly FAST! I'd take a look on Ebay and pick up a 2002 Cocker body. They're already finished (not a matte anno), and usually come with a chrome detent, and blocks. From there, check out a complete Shocktech front block, AKA internals, hinge frame, ect ect. It's all a matter of trial and error and personal preference.

However, the process is perpetual. You'll often find yourself saying "ok, this is the last part I'm going to buy", only to rebuild it a week later....
Shoot it like you stole it!
