I drive a '98 Infintity QX4 and a 67 Olds 98. My dream car is '67 or'68 LZ1 vette, or a '69 L88 vette. And of course the Mclaren F1.

You're very much mistaken obsolete. Escorts of the 80s are front wheel drive and Fords "B" series car. The Merkur XR4Ti (Sierra in Europe) is the larger mid-size or "C" car. It shares no components and the Sierra is rear or 4 wheel drive. No XR4x4 for america, though. Here's a little Cossie Sierra picture to bring the message home.

P.S.
All Merkurs (with the exception of solid black and rosso red) are two tone. Body color over dark grey cladding. There are no two tone escorts, so no grey Merkur has ever resembled a smaller monochrome escort. Its rear wheel drive, turbo charged fury vs. front drive econo-box. No relation.
