I have never worn a cup to play paintball. Been hit near the boys 3 times or so. One time close enough that a bit of shell winged me. Dropped me like a sack of dirt.

I still don't wear one, though. I plan on sewing a patch of neoprene into some mesh shorts and wearing them under my cargo pants when I play, though. I figure thats safe enough.

i dont wear cups...hinder my running/sliding/all around movement. as for needing one, i havent been hit in the junk yet. anyone ever tried those dye slide shorts?

Reasons I wear a cup:
1. I read that article a long time ago
2. My jockstrap brings me luck
3. When I wanna do a ball-sy move, I'd like to keep my intact.
4. When I slide on my belly I usually can feel my cup pressing in, I'd rather feel that than the alternative.
Plus, I wear a cup for half the sports I play, why not add paintball to that list. eventually you and your cup will become one. I hardly even notice mine, it never hinders my movement, although if the position isn't quite right it presses me the wrong way.

Most definitly. The first time me and my brother went out he got shot in cordovas. He couldn't even say he was hit. He just rolled around on the ground and the ref called him out. Same thing happened to the same ref two weeks later. HeHe.

I came soo close to shooting my self in the package once, while loading my warpfeed I bumped my hyperframe, and the barrel condom wasnt on because it was in the staging area... Needless to say, I dont wear a cup still, although since my style of play has gotten so agressive, Im going to invest in my jewels this time.
