gripe about buying used stuff

i recently bought a used ptp warp... i sent the money order 2 weeks ago and still have not gotten it ,the guy told me he would ship it as soon as he got the money, heres the story

1)i send money
2)he tells me he gets money and is going to ship it
3)he comes back and says he thought i was the guy buying his freeflow
4)he then tells me he for sure he has my money order (like tuesday last week)
5)tells me hes sick and didnt actually get the money till friday says he will ship next day
6)he says his friends parents got in a fight and his friends had to come stay at his house, says again he will ship it tommoro (this is like last thursday)
7)(monday) i ask him if its sent and he says his friends parents are having more problems and he is sick again so he will ship tommoro
8)i ask today and it finnaly got shipped, a week and a half after he first told me he got the money...

this is why i hate buying stuff used online... there is always some crap or partially bull story that the seller can use to keep telling the buyer. i now am leaving for spring break tommoro and still wont have my warp that i expected before last weekend... sorry i just need to let off some heat from this but i hate when stuff like this happens to me or my friends!!!!!!!

nutz dawg this is one of the reasons i never buy stuff used. Not to mention it could just break when you get it.

sounds like you got a bad deal, and we all get screwed over every once in a while, but a large majority of the trades and used stuff i buy online is a good deal. We online trader people aren't ALL bad.

yea he did have a good rep, im pretty sure i will get the warp but the thing that sux is that im going to be on vacation when it comes... i was trying to avoid that at all costs.... even for the delay i still got this at a sickly cheap price...

COD, COD, COD! I can't say it enough. Never ever just send a money order to someone. They can bend you over and give it to you good, and all you can say is thanx.

selling stuff is actually a lot harder than it sounds.

although there is no excuse not to be as speedy as possible things got really confusing around here when i parted out my mag.

some people send money orders, some use paypal, some say they send money orders but dont, some ask to include other stuff or want to buy something else after they send the money order or change their mind and want their money back etc etc

i finally resorted to writing down each person's name on a little piece of paper and check off exactly when the money arrives. its really a pain in the *** to sell 10 things at once.

so while there is no excuse for not being organized when dealing with other people's money, i can understand it.

restola- i parted out my old mag too but i didnt have that much crap happen, i know its hard but that is what im mainly complaining about, how stuff doesnt get to me fast enuff!!!!!! i dont think i was screwed over, it just took way longer than it should for it to even get sent...
