Any1 with a nokia cell phone read this!

Type this on your phone: " *3001#12345# " you should not have to press the send button. Tell me who this works for and also what this is.

Why should we do this? I mean, what does it do, make your phone explode or somethings?

dang you guys are late....I've had those menus activated on my phone since 99 when I got my 5160... now my 8260 has them too....

but WHY does anyone want them? they are pretty hard to change without screwing up your service, unless you are employed by you're company or know someone that is...

what is the point? i got the menu.
can you change anything cool? or is it just to say you did it?
i dont like signatures. so i turned them off. AO is much better this way.

All this is for, is for programming your cell phone

Go to a different provider, the guy behind the counter goes into this menu to change your SID# as well as your NAM1 (if you get a new phone #)

If you wanted another # in LA (if you were in NY, let's say) they would use this menu to give you another number, located in your NAM2

There is nothing an end user can do in this setup, other than screw the phone up. Even someone at "cellphones are us" has to get the service provider to give them the information that they would use to reprogram the phone.

There are much cooler things you can do to your Nokia - but it requires a data cable and a few software programs

That greeting can be changed in 2 ways. THrough the standard user menu you can change the 'greeting'

SOme of the newer Nokias you can change the graphics, but through the data cord.
