So...How's it going?

Nope, I am exactly the opposite of what you would think I would be like.
No, not really. Most news organizations not foxnews have been reporting on this, laying out the dates, the movements and the questions of if it is legal to sentence someone who will be president, who happens to be a criminal.
You see, that judgement, amongst others, was not lawfare. Those cases followed, almost to a fault, every facet of the law to make sure that the cases would not be thrown out over a misstep by the prosecution. Which means that, trump and his lawyers' had ever chance to prove his innocence and not be convicted. So the real question is, how can a convicted criminal be legally granted top secret clearances, or even be out of the state/country when other criminals aren't.
See how much better the questions are, when you just don't label it lawfare and wrongful prosecution.Last edited by Nobody; 01-03-2025, 04:55 PM.Comment

Poor Kamala Harris. She stabbed her boss in the back, spent a billion dollars on her campaign and today had to Certify the man she failed to beat.
I anticipated more objections, until I realized the law changed in 2022. It's no longer needing just one signature from the House and one from the Senate. Now 1/5 of each is required.
That new law also stipulates that the Senate Leader doing the certifying is a strictly ceremonial position, not a judge.CT Co-ordinator, Paintball MarshalsComment

if she had distanced herself and her campaign from Biden, she might have had a more competitive chance, alas, she stabbed no one. And why is it you have to stab someone in the back? That is a republican trait. Her undoing was she didn't offer a better alternative TO Joe Biden in the eyes of the voters.Poor Kamala Harris. She stabbed her boss in the back, spent a billion dollars on her campaign and today had to Certify the man she failed to beat.

The VP certifying the election results were always a ceremonial position. Hence why Mike Pence didn't play along with what trump and his campaign wanted in 2020. It is also why Pence wasn't asked back to be VP again.
But you go with the recon and alternative truths to keep you all warm and fuzzy.Comment

I'm jealous. Woke up to 7 degrees this morning. High of 31. After 8-10" of snow last Sunday & Monday.
And the Kubota tractor is in the shop so I'm unable to plow.
We are however, well stocked for winter emergencies. Still a pain getting water to the animals when it freezes every night.CT Co-ordinator, Paintball MarshalsComment

Here's another of those "way to go, Joe" items.
Just a bit of it;
An analysis published in December by Chmura Economics & Analytics found that the FDA's proposed nicotine limit would yield an annual loss of $24 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.
Furthermore, the rule could lead to more than 150,000 agriculture and retail job cuts across the nation, leading to additional negative “ripple effects” in local economies.
Chmura notes that the District of Columbia and all 50 states also receive yearly payments from tobacco companies as outlined in 1998's Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. Biden's ban would result in additional TMSA losses exceeding $21 billion per year.
Ray Starling, general counsel for the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, told the Washington Examiner that North Carolina farmers would be financially devastated should the new rule go into effect.CT Co-ordinator, Paintball MarshalsComment

I agree.
Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, Palestine, Isreal, Ukraine...Indeed, the leader of every nation of the world understands the concept of earning respect.
A man convicted of felony with zero fines or incarceration yet still elected as President is a man to be wary of and worthy of respect.
Exactly what we need in these troubling times.CT Co-ordinator, Paintball MarshalsComment

No, trump will use this fact as proof that he is better than you, that he can get away with literal crimes and face no consequences.I agree.

You earn respect with your deeds and actions, not because you got away with it.
Funny, how you named near all the totalitarian regimes, but Palestine isn't a state and doesn'thave a centralized government, Ukraine has actual elections and is a democracy, but forgot to include Hungary, Belarus and Turkey in that list.Comment
