I've been searching all morning and can't find the list of 78 Biden executive actions that Trump rescinded, anyone know what all was on the list? I find it odd that it doesn't seem to be news worthy..

Boohoo! Trump is going to show all those setback and snowball what an American president can do and put tariffs on those countries. This is absolutely wonderful. We don't need Ford or Chevy or Sellantis(Chrysler) cars, or all the food or even oil from both those greedy countries. Go get them trump!

I'm conflicted on this one. I understand times change. I'm pushing 70 and I've had my nose rubbed in it many times. Doesn't mean I have to like it.
I can't help but feel that the more we rely on machines, the less we do for ourselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for purely mechanical items like a toaster or chainsaw, I'd hate to clear a fallen tree using an axe.
When it comes to knowledge or intelligence (which are not the same) I feel it diminishes humans ability to think for themselves if we were to rely on some machine to do it instead, which seems to becoming common practice. Using "artificial" intelligence as a replacement for "Natural" intelligence without having any knowledge yourself.
I mean if you know it, that's you. If you have to rely on some machine to give the answer, that is not you that actually knows it.
Sounds hypocritical phrasing it like that. I've seen pictures of the Sphinx in Egypt but never seen it myself. Should I believe it's actually real?
Meh. Sounds like AI is the future. Thankfully, I'm old and won't live long enough to see the worst of it.

How about the ERS? The External Revenue Service? This guy talks about it with an interesting overview.

Trump doesn'tcare about you, or me or the people that put him back into office. He carss about money. He cares what and how he can get richer. And deregulating as well as tapping into a money conduit like AI is the latest grift.
I can't help but feel that the more we rely on machines, the less we do for ourselves. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for purely mechanical items like a toaster or chainsawtoasters use electricity to toast, and a chainsaw uses a spark plug to start the combustion cycle, but you knew that, I'd hate to clear a fallen tree using an axe.

The bicycle was made to become faster than walking and caring for a horse. The car was made because it was faster than a bike. Etc and so forth.
I mean if you know it, that's you. If you have to rely on some machine to give the answer, that is not you that actually knows it. because we have evolved past the point of needing the old knowledge because we no longer need it. While starting a fire without a lighter is useful, it doesn'tmean life or death for the vast majority of people. We have the knowledge that best suits us for the environment and society that we live in.
Sounds hypocritical phrasing it like that. I've seen pictures of the Sphinx in Egypt but never seen it myself. Should I believe it's actually real? why wouldn't it be? There are millions of people that have visited, photographed and touched it. Just because you are having an existential crysis of everything you can't fathom doesn'tmean that it can'tbe real.
Meh. Sounds like AI is the future. Thankfully, I'm old and won't live long enough to see the worst of it.AI is supposed to be thinking for itself. What we have is merely an very big aggregate program that tells us what that aggregation is when asked a question. It cannot create a picture because it saw something pretty. It cannot tell you it's favorite colour and why. We are nowhere near even the beginning of true AI.

Now, what you are seeing is a performative show, sending troops to the boarder and distraction. Since trump talked about it, every other sentence, and it has been jammed down your throat, that is what you expect him to do, but like a good con artist, you don't see what the other hand is doing. You are fed your red meat, seeing that trump is taking action, even though unequivocally everything he says is a lie, but you aren't looking at what and where you should be, cause it isn't the border.

And this is where I actually will say that trump is brilliant(see, an actual compliment), as he has latched onto the true politics of really, any situation. It is about what is perceived to do, not that he will actually fix anything. Christ, California is burning but he wanted to pardon people that broke the law. As a man of the people, wouldn't or shouldn't trump care about potential voters instead of actual criminals? No, he is performing. He won't do anything more to help the wildfires, so we forget about that issue and focus on how he pardoned a bunch of people.

And this roles right into AI and crypto. So he is performing but then he is lifting regulation laws, because all the tech bros want less overview, so they can gouge everyone. But more importantly, they want Uncle Sugar to start paying them. Case in point, the bank that was going to go under, was bailed out after it got caught up in crypto. So these tech bros literally want their cake and to eat it too. No regulations on what they do, but the government to come bail thrm out when they fail. And one of the top advisersto trump is a tech bro.

There it is. The conditioner to my shampoo.
You keep begging for my "opinion" and on occasion I allow it publicly, and you just have some overpowering need to prove it wrong, diss on it, trash it, anything just so "you win". You're better than I am.

Your problem is that I just don't care. My opinions are my own. They can be changed as I choose according to information I have.
If I decide your input is contradictory to my beliefs, it's because I've read it and formed my own opinion. Sometimes I incorporate what I read/see/hear into my personal paradigm.
But don't think you're going to change it with acerbic pathos.

I don't beg for your opinion. I seem to get it contrary to fact. I get opinions substituted for facts, and that is where I step in. No where did I say you were wrong, maybe misinformed, but if anything, I was showing you were that opinion might have come from. You know, sharing information. On a good day, I hope for a topic, and then a discussion on that topic where people give contrary and differing sides in a shared pool of information, so everyone is better informed. What mostly is here, someone writes something as fact, and I give explanation to why it isn't.

So no, it is not my problem. Just don't come on here thinking your opinion is any better than anyone else that is or has been on this forum. Do not think that your opinion can not nor should not be questioned. It is an opinion.

Well, it seems that you are trolling me.

Everything I write is based in fact. You don't like it, which is not my problem, since rarely am I proven wrong.

Regardless if I write in opinion or fact, there is not one narrative to anything that should only be discussed. I can't help if what you believe in is wrong(opinion) and I am here to express, diligently, other possibilities. You don't have to listen, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't express it.

You could say that, but that isn't what happened. He did sign an executive order but he didn't release those papers, only to move to be declassified. It may be pedantic, but I see it as the truth.

John, I hate to tell you. I am not been proven wrong. Just because you hate the fact that I can poke holes in everything you write and explain literally anything written here in a matter of minutes, is not hubris, it is just the simple truth.

Now after 4 days, people have lost jobs, no relief being sent or earmarked for the California wildfires, the war in Ukraine is still ongoing and the prices of eggs has apparently skyrocketed because either the CDC or NHA is being prevented from issuing reports on the possibility of a bird flu epidemic.

What a hell of a start to a lame duck president.

Edit: and Congrats to trump for declaring all of us female. Cause every person starts out as female and when the time for male hormones to come and change the ovaries into testies. And since he can't admit that he is wrong and change it, what are we all going to do?
