Tom & Mods - How about this idea

How about the possibility of having a new seperate Forum where "Anything Goes?" This new forum would be unmoderated and you can say anything you want and/or flame all you want.
I don't know if there would be any legal issues and all but you could place a disclaimer/warning (that this an unmoderated forum) before you enter and/or post on any thread. Perhaps even put an age restriction on the disclaimer?

I see it like this, if someone wishes to partipate in a flame war or participate in any topics that they want they can do so. Those who don't want to participate don't have to go there.

Again this is just a suggestion. It could be more trouble than it's worth but I just wanted to throw an idea on the table.

This has been theorized before and the general consensus of the board users and the offical announcement from Tom and the Mods was that is wasn't ever going to happen.

It's just too much of a liability.

I have yet to hear of a forum that's been sued for liability. Maybe I should look into it though.

Ya there really is no problem. The AO staff just doesn't want to deal with the hassle. Since it's thier boards we just have to deal with it.
