I was just wondering if you really get $5 if someone types your email address as who referred them when signing up for paypal. One of my friends said he typed my e-mail address in, but I don't see $5 in my account. Has it worked for anyome?

actually i belive they and you must have verified accounts... meaning paypal goes as far as depositing about $1 in 2 different deposits into your back account and then when you recieve your bank statement you log back into paypal and verifiy the 2 unique amounts that they had deposited.... with out doing that you dont even get the $5 for joining up with them for youself (not sure if they still do that though)Virus, King of the Basement Trollz has spoken

This from PayPal:
Sign up for PayPal
Confirm their email address
Confirm a checking account
Add $250 or more by electronic funds transfer into their PayPal account
Sign up for a Money Market Fund
So you don't have to have a premier account, but they DO have to put $250 in their account before you get the $5.
