Help deciding on skateboard deck, trucks, wheels?

I'm new to skateing, and don't know too much. From what ive heard, I think this is a decent setup, anyone else have any input? I'm about 6ft, and 175lbs if it helps.
    Element Bam Margera Him Deck
    Width: 7.88"
    Length: 32.00"
Undecided on independant or destructo trucks, and not sure what width I need.
Wheels, spitfire, or element, need some input on the size too.
Everything else, I think ive got picked out.
    Thanks for any help.

Element decks are ok, I'm not a big fan of them. The best trucks are grind king or tensor. Independents are really heavy, and it will make it harder to learn tricks. Good wheels are darkstar, bearing swiss bones (but they are expensive). I really like flip and habitat decks. But get whatever deck you like.

This was my Setup and Felt so Sweet

      Element Fether Lite-7.87
      Destruto Trucks
      58mm Spitfire Wheels
      Abec 5 Speed Demon Barrings

Thats was a Sweet setup...I liked it, I snapped it Ollieing a 5 set. It had huge pressure cracks...ANYWAY

I think you should get an Element or Zoo York
      Destructo Trucks
Bullet hole or Bullet wheels or whatever they are. My friend had some and they were pretty tight. 58mm or 56mm.
      95 S-10

Some Nasty tint...and no more to come casue Im getting back into paintball

Trying to remember my last board... It was a year or two ago and then some...

Heck I remember when Gull Wing trucks were new! and Santa Cruz were the boards to have. Tony Hawk had just started coming out with his own decks... Bullets were just out and hot property (used to love mine) and Toxic Toys made awesome wheels also. :)

OT I just saw Tony Hawk on Jackass and it was hella cool.

I'd love to give advice on what kit to buy but I fear my experience is now a little dated :)

Blind deck. The old english letter one is the best (I own it.)

Tensors and Ventures are the trucks to get.

          Spitfire wheels.

          Bones Swiss bearings.

go with the cheapest deck you can find(new) Skating gets soo expesive once you start breaking decks every 2-3 weeks! I used to buy elements, which are good, but then I realized that i had no more money, ever! so there's a shop down in Denver that sells their brand for about $25-$30. Status' are pretty cheap as well.

Grind King trucks are what I skate. They are light and long lasting. And their kingpins are garunteed for life. Status boards are good, I've had one. It lasted me a long time. You shouldnt break boards every 2-3 weeks. My boards usually last 2 months. Just dont stop by dragging your tail. And when you do tricks off of stuff try not to make the board land on the nose or tail, and land with your feet on the bolts (if you can control it).

I think that i'm going to stick with the element deck.
Tensor, grind kind, or destructo trucks i'm deciding between. Right now I think i'm leaning a little more twords the tensors.
As far as wheels go, i'm likeing the darkstars.

well elemets suck, u should get a black label or a consolidated. a board with some taste, and for the record grind kings suck rerally bad and will break. go for the stanard Indy's, best truck and will last u a very long time. and for wheels get either spitfire or pig, i currently ride pig with dual durometer cores which kick ***.

                        my current set up is
                        deck:black label matt hensley bomber
                        trucks:Indy stage 8's
                        wheelsig dual durometer 55mm
                        bearings:zero black widow's
                        hardware:shorty's silverado's

oh yeah, i've been skating for 8 years so i know what i'm talking about.

I remember when Variflex was good kit! before they sold out I used to have a street board with soft variflex wheels which was hella fast.

DONT get an element. They snap to much, I was kickflipping my friends box and I snapped his element board. If you want a nice board get an AWS, I have one and they are the best you can get.
