I just spilled a half of a cup of coolade in my keyboard, I drained most of it out, but not its gonna be all sticky and stuff. What should I do? should I pour some water in there to make it like clean and not sticky? Or will that just make things worse, yes I am stupid and yes you can laugh if u want but tell me what to do...

Spend 18 bucks on a new generic keyboard and toss that one.

Try cleaning it and then splash out the 18$ if it doesn't work out...
to clean it I would hang it by a cord in the back garden and shoot it with a paintball gun...
or try and swill it out with a shower, but don't connect it back up until it is absoluetely dry!

take a pair of pliers and carefully remove each key from the keyboard. Then, lick the Koolade residue from between the key posts and carefully reinstall the keys. Problem solved!!

do what spraying mango says minus the licking between the keys parts...thats kinda gross knowing what nasty stuff is in there. use rubbing alcohol and q-tips.

If you can spend the money get a new keyboard. If you can't or don't want to then douse your keyboard in water. ( yes as aforementioned you can put in the dishwasher with no soap. rinse only no drying!) I've read that you should use distilled water because its free of minerals that can gunk up the keyboards components, don't know if it makes that much of a difference. Make sure the keyboard is completely dry before you plug it in. (let it air dry or use cool air)

Yes, seriously.
Don't ask me why someone would take off a key to put it in there, but it was a real ols keyboard, at least 10 years old.Comment

Unscrew it from the back, take everything out from the inside, it should be only a few big pieces. Take the front with the keys and wash it, take a wet cloth and gently wipe down the interior pieces, let it dry and reassemble. It took me 10 minutes when I spilled beer on mine.
