Just curious if any of you are from central or south america. I lived in Guatemala for 5 years and am returning this may for a couple of weeks. We have a great field there but was wondering how the sport is doing in the rest of the region.

I live in Arizona now. I lived in Guatemala from 1991 to 1997. And my wife and I visit her parents down there every couple of years. My brothers in law and I play paintball everytime we're down there and have gotten the whole family involved.Comment

Nice! Are the fields down there anything like up here? Describe any differences. I love hearing about other countries and paintball. Is it popular down there like up here?

Actually the paintball fields look very similar to something you would find here in the US. The fields in Guatemala City are up in the mountains and set back in the forest. There are some speedball fields but mostly woods. Paintball has really just been getting its foothold down there. The majority of people that I played with were missionary kids from the US. Not a lot of high end guns there yet. Mostly spyders and tippmanns. This is probably due to the scarcity of compressed air refills at the fields.Comment
