    "Corkscrew" Barrel

While talking to one of the guys coming on my college paintball trip, he described how he hated "it when guys put spin on the paintballs." I questioned him "what do you mean? Like the Flatline barrel system that puts backspin on the ball?" and he said "No, I hate it when guys put sidespin on the balls with Corkscrews."

While trying to contain my head from exploding I pushed further, "What do you mean? That defies the laws of physics." He replied with "No, it happened me while at Skirmish one time. I was behind a tree and I knew this guy was off the the side, and the ball came around the tree and hit me in the front. The guy had his own gun and put a corkscrew barrel on his gun to get me."

The guy I'm talking to this whole time is an Engineering major, and you would think he would know this is impossible. But, nonetheless, he is totally serious. He has only played twice, once at skirmish and last semester with the paintball trip.

By now my head was close to exploding, so luckily I was at work and customers came up. But I just thought I would share this funny story.

Oh and he totally loves mags though. His "dream" marker is a tricked RT or Emag.

Well, if you think about it with a flatline, if you could find a way to rotate the barrel while shooting, you could shoot around bunkers somewhat.

one of the armson barrels is rifled (not just rifled porting but real rifling like a gun barrel) which is basicly a corkscrew barrel... probly the kind he was talking about...

I agree, the rifled armson sounded like a good idea but I didn't see any spectacular results. Other than it seemed pretty loud.
