    travel suggestions?

i'm lookin for some place cheap to send my parents for a lil vacation. I thought I'd do something nice for them for once, and as kind of a thank you for putting up with me being such a lil bastard the past 17 years, you know? So i talked my older brother into it, and together we can get about 1200 bucks.

So, with that kind of cash, where could two middle-aged chinese folks from Missouri have some fun? Or what are some nice cheap travel websites I should look at? Or should I just take my $600 and buy another mag?

Help me out you guys, I really can't think of anywhere to send them!

      How about SF or Napa?

I'm sure you could get a deal on air fare, car, and lodgings if you just look for it. Lots of stuff to see in Northern California. Weather is just great, too this time of year.

Napa (wine country) could be a nice, romantic location. Who knows, you might just end up with a new brother or sister in 9 mos...

Ha ha ha! I bet I grossed you out..

vegas would be nice, but they're more into sightseeing, that sorta thing.

How about a cruise? Most of the folks I know only have positive things to say about taking a cruise.

you could cover airfare and lodgings for a nice trip to hawaii or carribean or any city in the US or pay for a carribean cruise (not enough for cruise and airfare methinks)

Uhmm guys, REALISTIC- $1200 isn't getting two people to Hawaii.

Book ahead and try places like Gettysburg (sp?) if they like sight seeing. Err.. yeah!

                            HAHAHAHA Napa! Funny.

Actually that was what I was going to say. Nice weather, vineyards to see, wine to drink, new art and wine center that Robert Mandavi spent 50+ Million dollars on, good somewhat clean downtown area. (just don't go to the skate park)

                            Yeah, BTW, I live here...

You could send them to Albuquerque NM.

Just think of all the wonderfull things they could see: dirt, deadly animals, dirt, gangs, violence, dirt, 50% drop out rate schools, dirt, half of all the illegal immigrants in this country, dirt, drive-by's, dirt, any and all cars with 13 inch gold spoked rims, dirt, lowriders, dirt, and fashionable hair nets even if the person is not in the food industry. Oh ya did I mention all of the damn dirt they can see, and eat while it's being blown into your face by 40 Knt winds.

                              Yea it's really great here.
