AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
And u cant get ur permit til ur 17(this is my mom's time) i dont know if it still applies. I am referring to NJ now, is it still 17 for permit?? However like 1 month after u get ur permit, u get your liscense, i gotta wait a year.
Yes, you still get your license at 17, but its like a cinderella license type thing.
The deal is you gotta be 16 and need 6 hours of PROFESSIONAL driving instructions before you can your permit. 6 Months from the time you get your permit, but not if its before you're 17, you can take the actual driving test and get your license.
You get the license, but its not even a card, they stamp your friggin permit until you're 18. Until you're 18 you can't drive after 11 or 12 and not before 6, with only one person other then family members in your car at any given time. There's a bunch of other bs regulations too. Once you're 18 you get to throw that big stupid piece of paper you had for 2 years out.
Well, Like a Fat Girl Playing DodgeBall...I'm out.
Think of it this way. If 200 million dumb americans can do it, so can you. Heck, if you are smart enough to TYPE, you can do it...
At first it's a little hard to coordinate, but now I don't even think about it. As easy as walking.
Don't get a big-time ticket like me, though. And watch out... There are some great, helpful cops out there, and then there are some who I really just don't like at all...

Hey if yall wanna hear the story of my near death experience fine, but it's not my fault. And I know six hours behind the wheel ain't nearly enough. That's why we bought the crash car (an old Buick, we're truck people but we wanted something I could ding up w/out dying over, it will be traded for my truck by fall).
Anyways: I had just dropped the instructor's son off at his middle school (emergency ride needed, obviously I can't be that bad if she trusts me w/ her two children). I was pulling out to make a left hand turn (across an extra wide left lane). The whole street had been really busy but there was a turn lane in the center of the street and a big gap in the cars (caused by a car unloading kids from the center of the street).
Well an impatient jerkoff got tired of waiting behind the stopped car and passed him by using that turn lane which I was getting into. Quick merging got me out of the situation although it still wouldn't have been pretty.
So in conclusion, I didn't do it, and I know I've got a lot to learn. The End

MicrOMag Nj laws for driving do stink really bad all of my friends can not drive, so it up to me to take them everywhere. But its good because a lot of girls like it because I can drive.
Magman sounds like you handled that well. Good show
MA sucks the big one too. for 6 months after you have your licence you technically CANT DRIVE AROUND NON-FAMILY MEMBERS. WTF IS THIS CRAP? I MEAN COME ON!
the cops dont care to much luckily, but some parents do.
Yeah CA's got such dumb laws as well... the 6 months thing really bites. Anyways:
I made it through my final day, got my little piece of paper at the end of the trip and dropped the kids off again today. This time no near head on. I also did much better than the other two days. Now it's time to practice... bring on the crashcar!
