bad things that happen at a party

a girl at my school died last night at the hospital. on sunday she was at a party and got wasted (drugs + beer)and fell down like 27 stairs and went into a coma. the hospital unpluged life support and she died last night. i didnt know her cuz she was older than me, so its not like the world is gona end but still its kinda sad cuz she was only a sophmore. i just wanted to share that and think about it next time your at a party

I hate to put on my adult hat, but since I've been wearing it for so long.... This is a prime example of why I don't drink (anymore). I got tired of seeing friends and those around me doing stupid things in the name of "fun". DUIs, impared motor skills, accidents, etc., not to mention how freakin' expensive booze is. It's sad that things like this happen, but I hope people take it as a learning experience.

nothing wrong with having a nice drink or 2 here and there. the thing that isn't right is when a bunch of people get together to see how fast they can get drunk, and then do somthing stupid that puts everyone in harm....

i'm sorry to hear about the girl in your school, but somtimes it takes a tragety to open peoples' eyes and get a wakeup call.

Actually a beer or 2 a day can actually be good for you :). It isn't hard on your liver, and it makes your blood thinner, preventing blood clots. So if your old, don't be afraid to drink a couple beer a day!

Staring at breasts can help men live longer, too. I like to partake in both activities at once, it's a good workout. Sorry to hear that happen, live by the fire die by the flame, I guess.

I think some people just hang out with the wrong people. select your drinking partners carefully and you'll have a blast. if you drink with the same people all the time you'll get to know what they are likely to do when they are drunk (when one of my friends gets drunk, for example, he wont stop drinking) and be prepared for it (and if you have problems they'll be prepared for you). dont hang out with depressive or angry drunks, and if someone is irresponsible sober, they'll probably be irresponsible drunk, so stay away from them.

with the right friends getting totally wasted can be a safe and incredibly fun experience.

on topic i feel really bad for her family. sophmore makes her about 16? thats way to young to die, and to young to be out drinking and doing drugs.

right, but getting drunk is oh soo cool right? Ya get OWI's, loose your job, spend money, everyone in town laughs at what you did the night before, PUKE, wake up in the morning with a hangover... but hey it's COOL so why not?

Restola is right imho. The key to it all is responsibility. If they can't drink responsibly, they shouldn't be doing it period, whether they're 16, or 21, or 89. And that goes for just about everything else in life that is fun.
