Might need to add a couple more thousand to that price. I don't think the stock lower half of a prelude motor will come close to handling 400hp.Would probably get me to 400 hp to the wheels
So add on forged crank, forged pistons, forged connecting rods, bearings, and all the other little goodies for a complete rebuild. Oh and I would also say the entire valve train would need to be redone.
My $.02

Beware cars with aftermarket wheels. They're usually beat to hell. No stock honda engine will withstand 230+hp, save the GSR engine (which only produces a paltry 130 lb/ft of torque). VTEC: Rev it like you stole it!Shoot it like you stole it!

Well....
Some of you dont exactly know what you are talking about.
Stock Honda Cranks are good enough. Lots of drag racing civics use the stock crank with horsepower ranges from 500-700 hp.
that price included forged connecting rods and forged pistons.
YES ZUMINA. YOU ARE SOOOO COOL, HOWD YOU KNOW IM GOING TO RICE OUT MY AUTOMOBILE?

Re: Well....
Well considering that LS1's forged crank is only recomended up to 600, I don't see a 4 banger economy car's crank pushing any where near that. Sorry that thing would snap.Originally posted by Gotenks
