XspyX has a 91 Dodge Colt, thats a pretty crazy ride.
We were going 112mph on the interstate and it held up and didn't even get the shakes.

Drift racing looks so damn cool

See, your one of the few smart tuners out there. A lot of people will spend $1000 or more on a body kit, when it could go to so much better use other than "looks".

And a lot of people will spend a lot of money on chrome wheels that are heavy as hell, or get ripped off of some real crappy wheels that weigh like 30 pounds in 17 inch form.

If import people are on a budget, god created the great company called ROTA.

17 inch wheels that are 12-15 pounds and 7.5 inches wide, nothing but performance. They are cast, which makes them $500 a set, but I guarantee they won't ever break, people use them on WRX rally cars and they dont break.

I didn't say a domestic can take an import in the corners...

but some cars like the SALEEN MUSTANG take the corners very well...

Yeah they can corner decent but the only mustang worth a damn is the newest cobra type-R . That is due to the independant multilink rear suspension, which the s-chassis nissan has had since the late 80's. I got a kick out of peeps that bought the type-r mustang and then got mad because it was sub-par on the 1320, due to the rear subframe / suspension design that made it decent on a real track.


Yeah I love the 240's man. My first car was a 91 fb that nailed a tree when 3 hands where on the wheel at once. RWD is the only thing I like, as I cant stand driving fwd cars. There's something about being in control in an uncontrolled situation (pitched sideways on the gas). I should post my cousins 25th anniv. firebird when he went sideways after coming off of a slick highway onramp. Needless to say the car is gone and so was a guard rail. Every car hes owned has been rwd and every car he has either lost control, gone sideways and wrecked or just gone sideways alot. Some people just cant get used to it I guess.

Oh and for rims, if I decide to go with a different rim it will be for traction purposes and more than likely be the 16" x 7.5f 8.5r rims off of a TT-Z. Either that or a set imported from another nissan.

You know... statements like that really PISS me off. Your car could be torn apart as well and called a POS (and sorry, saying a car is not worth a darn is saying it is a POS) too. There is ALWAYS something better.

Heck for the average person (and even those that THINK they are BETTER) almost ANY "sporty" car will do fine for them. After all, no matter what you may think, the "fastest" car is NOT the one that always wins the race.... it is the driver who does. (I have even out driven sports cars using my Wife's MiniVan with a 6cyl in it... how about THEM apples!?!)

Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, several imports, etc. are ALL good cars. So many people nitpick over little things that in all honesty would NEVER even matter for most drivers. I know MY Mustang is not the fastest thing on the street, but I know I can out drive EVERYONE I have ever met.. PERIOD, and it didn't matter what car I was in.

I love my Mustang, and I take GREAT offense to someone saying it is not worth a darn. It still turns heads, is super sharp, quick as all get out, and IS worth a darn. It is good to have pride in YOUR ride, but don't piss on mine. You only come off looking like a total jerk.

maybe all the people you supposedly "raced" weren't racing, or just don't know how to drive and only use vehicles as a mean of transportation, and they have nice cars because they think they "look cool" or are luxurious.

I don't understand why you got all heated up about his comment, we all have our personal preferences, he apparently knows what he's talking about, and he wasn't trying to state it as a fact, he just believes that mustangs that aren't cobra-r's aren't worth a damn to him.

thats why I can't wait to get a s2000 in the future

but until then, I'll just have to stick with an integra or whatever it is I decide to get.

"IMHO" would indicate his opinion. I did not see that anywhere. Or in fact anyplace where he stated it was just his opinion.... in any form.

As for the "raced" comment... who cares? If you rev at me, or get cocky on the road, you ARE racing. Your skill level or WHY you drive is totally irrelevent.

If you don't know why I got heated up you should go back and read what I wrote again. Good lesson in reading and try comprehending what was actually written. I have no problem with his OPINION, but he was not stating it as such, but as fact because he knows so darn much about it.....

I found it to be offensive... I stated so, and why. I actually have nothing againt him personally, just think he slammed a whole lot of people... to include me. I am sure he did not intend to do so, but I posted a picture of MY Mustang not too far back on this thread.... and it isn't the newest Cobra Type-R. Think about it.

those mustangs just aren't up to par to our standards. That's exactly why we choose high quality japanese automobiles. They have set the standards for suspension.

While we don't have humungous engines, we don't have them for a reason. Smaller engines make the car lighter, and give them less understeer.

Mustang can be built to compete in autocross and on the circuit, but it takes a lot to make them compete with many japanese automobiles.

Heck, what a lot of people buy mustangs for are for drag racing. And I've so many imports go just as fast, if not faster than mustangs.

toyota supra for example, 3.something litre engine, and with 15,000-20,000 dollars in performance parts, and knowledge of tuning and yada yada, you can make a 800-1000+ horsepower street car, that will outhandle any mustang going just as fast in a drag race. And it would probably be more reliable too
