wow good writing s14...
but thats why you dislike honda's because most of the owners don't know anything? Well it is so true.
Heck, believe it or not, when I was a kid, I was all for american cars. I loved the sound of a noisy v8 at idle, and hearing it roar. I wanted to get a camaro, hehe.
My parents had a honda civic, and a toyota corolla, and I was just like "hey, economy car, no fast"
The 86 civic of ours had a whopping 58 horsepower. Hey it sounded cool, hehe.
Well I have ridden in my fair share of nice cars. A few weeks before my triumphant loyalty to honda, I rode in some guys stingray corvette. I'm not sure what parts he had under the hood, but there was some edelbrock engine dress up.
We went to an abandoned industrial road, and smoked this nissan, it was great. (no hate to nissans s14, just sayin what happened brutha
)
Then a few weeks later, my friend comes to my house with a honda civic. I noticed he had 17 inch wheels, new springs and dampers, and a carbon fiber hood. I was thinking it might be a little fast, but it still had a tiny 1.8 litre engine. I had noticed sometimes seeing people put body kits and huge exhaust tips on their hondas and stuff, I thought it was pretty corny. He, however, didn't have a body kit or any of that junk.
well it was a 93 civic hatchback si, with a b18c5 (integra type-r) swap. he had an aem cold air intake, stock exhaust, msd ignition, dc headers, and a few little things here and there.
Well I rode in it, and OH MY!!! Thats when I fell in love with these cars. Even without the exhaust, it was fantastic hearing the rumble of 8400 rpm through that cold air intake. And his car sucked me into the seat more than that corvette I rode in.
That's when I started reading a lot about honda, and their involvement in motorsports, like formula 1, and I have been loving the company ever since. There are so many people with honda's that don't know anything about cars, or honda themselves, and it's just a disgrace, really, I can understand why so many people don't like honda.
But until that triumphant day I can get behind the steering wheel of a nsx with koji shibahata's all wheel drive, and a 400 horsepower n/a 3.5 litre v6 (hint hint 2004 nsx), I will be driving an integra
