Ghost Recon?

Anyone have any info on it, or play it?


...its the new game in the R6, RS series.

I'm getting a new computer and I'd like to buy the game as soon as the computer comes.

I use to play r6 all the time, luved it.

GR kicks butt. it's about as good as it gets for the genre.

acutally its not in the Rainbox Six nor is it Rogue Spear series. It's its own game, although i beleive it uses the same engine. What i really like about it is that there's a visual aid telling you what your character is hearing and which direction he hears it from. I'm not good in realistic games like Rogue Spear or Ghost Recon, i'm more used to fast pace multiplayer 1st shooters.

Yes, you're probably correct that its built on a diff. engine, it HAS to be, r6 is atleast 5 years old now so the engine wouldn't be up to date.



My question is, is it like counterstrike or rainbow six, I really don't want to be in a game where there's that much tactical playing in multiplayer.

Do u just have 2 teams, basically you do whatever the **** you want and go and kill the other team?

If your playing by yourself it's like rainbow six, you have to kill the bad guys while trying to be real sneaky. You have six men you can use that are broken into teams, like a 3 man, 2 man, 1 man groups (make the one man a sniper) or two 3 man teams, or three 2 man teams. Of those men you pick riflemen, support, sniper, and demo, with a couple weapon packs to choose from.

If your playing online it's more like counterstrike, your broken into teams, then class and you go have fun.

There are also tons of mods you can get to make the game better. Gunslinger realism mods adds tons of new weapons and tweeks the ai for a more real feel. The you got all the home made maps that people make, "the dam" is a huge and fun map. Somebody even made a blackhawk down based map.

man ghost recon is my facorite of all tom clancy games its simply spectacular its like rouge spear sorta but wihtout the mundo lag problems

Is it like r6 where after the end of each game u go to change ur kit and have a chat screen, or do u just respawn?

Rogue Spear always sucked compared to r6, r6 was at the top of its game for like 3 years. Even w/ this suck *** computer i liked r6, but now its onto a new computer and Ghost Recon.

How is UBI? That wasn't even in exsistence when I used to game. ...Once my new computer arrives and I hook it up I'll make a new login. On the 11th is when Ghost Recon - Game of the Year is supposed to come to Babbages. The Game of the Year version has the normal game and desert siege all for $50. ...and I got a $40 gift certificate to the mall, that I never use because the mall sucks. Ghost Recon is all that and a bag of chips. Graphics are good, sound is awesome.

R6 was a GREAT game. I was on one of the top clans... OTB - who did R6Retreat if familiar. RS I liked, although it was a slower game and was more difficult to be as dominating cuz they took your tools away (the game was slower and they took away crack-shot accuracy).

I was thinking of dusting off my GR disk and going at it... in case any of you are interested.

r6 should be a movie(im talking about the book the game isnt the exact same)that was one of the longest and best books i ever read. perfect timing for this thread too because when you posted it i was thinking of playing gr myself!

What do you mean, dusting off your GR disk, isn't it like a brand new game? I hadn't heard of it for that long. How many ppl play. I don't want to get it if its a dead game, like R6 was in the end. ...yes I remember r6retreat and rsretreat...

Sorry that i'm out of the loop, right now I'm on 333mhz amd k6-2 cpu, 64mb ram, 6.03gb hd, and 4mb video card, so I haven't played any high tech games. Once I get my 2.4ghz, 80gb, 512mb, geforce 3 system i can get back into it. Plus i'm cable. So whoreage.com
