    More Military "Who is this"

Alright, per Mango's request this round of military "who is this"is a little bit harder. O.k. #1

#1 This Confederate Colonel operated behind Union lines succesfully using aggression and assaults. He once routed an entire Union Regiment with just 9 men.

I do believe #2 is Captain Edward "Eddie" Rickenbacker

Hmmmm #4 Pilot of the B-29 that flew from Tinian to Japan after receiving the atomic bomb from the Indianapolis. Forget his name though.

#5 Well Perry's flag was hung, but it was framed so I don't know if that's what you mean by flown. I'm gonna go with Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Allied Commander at the time though.

              Yeah #3 is Rickenbacker

#2 is a shot in the dark. Is it General Frank Merrill of Merrill's Marauders fame?

Haven't a freakin clue on the first one.

talk about some vapor lock. He flew the Enola Gay, Patrick Duffy played him in the movie about him and the mission.

                            this is easy.

#1 Thats Colonel Jerry "Lee" Lewis. After he singlehandedly won the war for the Confederacy, he came home and married his 12 year old cousin.

#2 Thats General James "Jap Killa" Christopher. This General was most known for his famous quote "A day without dead Japs is like a day without sunshine". After the war the General retired and moved to Osaka where he married his wife, Hitomi Kaneko.

#3 Thats Lieutenant Shayne "Swishy" Studebaker. Long before President Clinton came up with the policy of "Dont ask, Dont tell", this WWI flyboy was known for his uh how you would say..."flamboyant" lifestyle....

#4 Thats Private Tom "Dick" Harry. Private Harry was the cook upon the airplane the Enola Gay. One morning he made a batch of chipped beef on toast that was infected with samonella. The crew became so sick that they couldnt make it to thier military target. So they dropped the single bomb they were carrying on the first schoolhouse they could identify. This single event is probably responsible for giving airline food a bad reputation.

#5 Thats General Frank "Gramps" Hoboken. General Hoboken is most well known for his comments during a German invasion such as, "Tanks?! We didnt have any tanks in my day. We just head butted each other and that suited us just fine!" or "You kids today are so soft with your self loading rifles and your motorized jeeps".

this history stuff is easy...gimme something harder

Hey is #1 John Mosby? I know he generally hung around the virginia area during the war. Usually only with 50 or so men. Guerilla tatics and stuff. For some reason I thought he went back south again after a short while. I'm not so much with the civil war history.
