1) insurance = cheaper
        2) I need passenger room

Why does it matter? It's not a freaking sports car and never will be.

If you're going to get the big amp, dont be affraid to get the Dual voice coil Type Rs... they will have a bit more output for ya.

And I think i've said it before, but beware of the KAPPAs. Granted, you'll be using a 4 channel to push them, but they have distortion blockers built into the voice coils that dampen out the sound of distortion. While you play your music soft, this is all fine and dandy, but when you crank it up, you have no idea when your speakers will blow since you cant hear them stressing.

Get matching type R components... OMFG are those nice!

            Into the realm of subjectivity...

Props on the HU... Clarion is nice! Other similar options besides Clarion are the Alpine CDA7892/7894/7895's

I'd suggest that you also take a look at CDT Audio for your front stage... Cambria CA-60's are a nice set. Great build quality, great SQ and imaging, but not gonna give you super SPLs.

That MTX-D is a good pick I'd say... but it's only got power for one sub if you want to set things up correctly. Leave the EQ-Boost off to avoid distortion... you don't need it.

Personally I would prefer using a single Crystal CMP12 (not the CMPx2) sub. It can eat up and make use of over twice the power that that amp can put out, but you should be ok. You'll get good SPLs that sound great... BTW, there are SVC Type-R's? I thought was just type S that had that, I dunno.

Crystals are great when it comes to SQ, not just ridiculous SPL... and not too costly. They need a big box though.
