Getting license soon, wish I could get my dad's car:
'85 Camaro Z28 pro-street, 350 chevy .030 over, AFR aluminum heads, roller rockers, 671 Hampton blower with dual 750 Holleys, TH 400 tranny with B&M shifter, line-lock, Denny's HD driveshaft, Ford 9" 456 differential, tubbed for 21.5 X 33 Mickey Thompsons, Custom paint (all airbrush), matching leather interior, roll cage, and a sweet sound system.
Too bad there's no insurance companies in the country that will insure his car for anyone under 25

heh, no, just three of them. We bought them at almost the same time (about 2 days apart). Euro Z34? You mean a Lumina Euro with the 3.4L DOHC V6?

Are Lumina Z34s any good Zumina? I was considering buying one, but know little about them. Are they:

            -fast (relitvley speaking)
            -good on gas
            -roomy
            -FWD or RWD?

            Thanx man

Relatively fast [stock] for a FWD 3400lb car.
heh, 24 around town, 30 on the highway (doing 80)
VERY ROOMY! That was the car's major selling point for me.
                FWD

If you can find a 5 speed, you'll be in REALLY good shape as far as stock speed goes. Twin Turboed, (a $4000 investment) the car will run a mid 12.

Cool, I'm sold. There is a black, 5 spd, tinted w/ alarm and exausht for sale around here, only 7500 CAD. I think I'll give him a call

ask when/if the timing belt and altenator were changed. The timing belt is a crucial peice of equipment in a DOHC engine. Both the belt and altenator are rather difficult and expensive to replace. How many miles are on the car, and what does 7500 CAD equate to in American dollars? I paid $2800 for my 93' Z34 w/ 83456 miles on it, an old timing belt, and a bad altenator. LMK how things turn out.

                      $7,500 CAD=$4,885.01 USD.

I'll have to call back tomorrow and ask about the alternator/timing belt. The car has brand new Eagle GAs, new Black paint, new tint, redone dual exhaust, and 120000 kms (which is equal to about 75000 miles, you Yank )

I'll see if I can get a pic to post.

                      Thanks for your help.

On another note, is there any difference between Lumina Z34s and Grand Prix GTPs of the same era? I ask b/c there are several awesome deals on GTPs around here and the cars seem very simalar in price, engine, etc.

GTPs have the same engine and a WHOLE bunch of aditional features. DIC, HUD, leather...they're really tight
