How can I tell if a video card will work on my PC?

I want to get the GeForce4 Ti 4200, but it says it needs something called a "AGP 2.0 Compliant Socket" I know I have an AGP slot but how can I tell if it'd 2.0?

Also, it says it requires a 250W supply or greater. How do I find that out?

Buy the card and put it in.. I'm sure AGP 2.0 came out 10 years ago

and just what am I supposed to do when the card doesn't work, huh?
I suppose your saying return, and that's fine. I really needed $250 in store credit.

PS: no flame intended, just a little venting.

Trust me, unless your computer is a 486, it'll work.

he's right, as for the power supply, 250w is nothing, it's no biggie.

agp goes in 1x, 2x, and 4x. Its the speed your motherboard allows( 4x the fastest). if your computer is somewhat new you'll be fine. You can look it up somewhere .

CompUSA put it on sale for $229.99. At least here they do. I would have to assume that it would be the same for all CompUSAs. check your Sunday paper, or whichever has all the advertisements.
