ACTUALLY Cliffio, if you did a little homework and learned about the history of the Confedercy and its flags, you would see that the "stars and bars" is the Confederate Battle Flag (that exact flag is the Navy Jack flown on the masts of the Confederates Navy ships) and the Confederates flags represent freedom. Cliffio- If it was an american flag, would you say the same? You're conveniently forgetting that the founders of this nation had slaves, and advocated slavery.
The civil war had NOTHING to do with slavery. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclimation was a political move, and had nothing to do with the war. The southern states wanted to cede, and become the confederacy. The flag represents the 11 states and their right to cede.
You offended by it? too bad. learn your history. If you're still offended by it, you should be offended by the american flag.Such a sham(e).Comment
