Who's in a Marching band?

I'm in a highschool marching band playing the trombone, planning on marching for michigan state.

well im not necissarily a band nerd but i do play snare drum for NPHS marching band

just high school. we were #2 in ohio in the omea next to marrietta. unofficial of course, because its highschool, and everyone was a winner.
a couple of my friends are in the bluecoats drum and bugle corps. as much as i dont like watching marching bands, watching DCI drum and bugle corps is amazing. they shown the finals on pbs every year.

I play trumpet in my high school marching band, wooohooo!! Our show this year is Grease and we have to do the hand jive, yeah its corny but even if we sound bad the crowd still loves it

why are we labeled band nerds? i dont get it-i hate that man-everyone at the football games pays more attention to the drummers than the football players

restola - well, we went to this ghetto school last friday, and it wasnt really a big hit, as we excpected. We were actually singing vanilla ice on the way out just to be like, superwhite. im surprised we didnt get shot

Back in my day I played low base drum. I don't care if I got called a band nerd, we got to go on all the cool trips.

the year before i joined we got a police escort in and out of one stadium and were locked behind a chainlink section apart from everyone else.

also doing things like running over people, twisting people's rearview mirrors, setting off car alarms. all very fun things to do. once leaving an award ceremony where we got best of comp in everything we had our drum line playing cadence and some lady was right in front of me (i was front right in parade) and wouldnt move, so i ran right into her full speed, spun her around. then just as she starts to yell at me my friend runs into her (we staggard 5-4-5-4 so there was about 2 seconds before my friend got there) and nearly knocks her over.

people always yell when we come through "get out of the way! they wont move for you!". hearing that, and beating every other bands *** at every competition was fun.

to bad i will never play another instrument again.

I play trumpet for my HS band. Speaking of band nerds, we've taken it way past that. We went to Universal Studios Florida wearing shirts saying "Band 4 Life" It's great. We even made a CD with marching, jazz, and concert band music on it.
