This makes me feel old when I think that I have been playing music longer than most seinors in high school have been alive.

Violin 2 years - stoped playing back in 5th dont know if it still counts.
Alto / Tenor / Bari Sax 18 years.
(5th -12th, 5 years of College, off and on for the past 5)
Bass Guitar 12 years
(11th-12th and off and on for the past 10)
Piano - kind of

I never said it was easy, I just said I wanted to learn it :-)

And I have no interest in classical violin, just the fiddle aspect, but since Im totally unaware of how the instrument is played right now, I don't know how much of a crossover there is between the two, since the fiddle is usually played faster and has a different tune, etc.
