depends on a few factors. Where you live, for state taxes, how much you earn for federal.

I have about half of the income from my business taken from me every quarter by various government entities.

Summer jobs will see about 25-30% taken out.

I have to pay taxes, and its not even my MONEY! I get a thing every April telling me i have to pay tax on the interest of my College Fund, supposedly the interest is higher than the gov allows or some trash. I am glad to see some honest people too, a kid getting a summer job, thats actually ON the books, almost unheard of.

Depends on how much you make. Whenever I get a paycheck under $100, it's only like 14%... and you get most of it back anyways. It's like the governement saving for ya! I love being a kid!

If your a kid you shouldn't have a problem getting payed under the table depending on what you do..

Your taxes wont be that high if your just a kid anyways..

14 sounds pretty good, but do they take into consideration that im only 16? (by the way it's at shoprite so I don't think I can get anything under the table).

Up here in Canada (not sure with you yanks) pretty much whatever the gov't takes during your working time you get back come taxtime. Up some determined limit.

My sister worked with me for the summer, and come taxtime she got 800 bucks back. Not bad since she only made a couple grand.
