my views on immigrants to this nation are if they didnt have realtives that fought in the revolutionary war or their ancestors werent here before or during that time your family are immigrants simple as that...
Even if they were here before that they're still immigrants.

if you were born here ok your a US citizen but what did you do to get here?
I crawled/was pushed out of my mom. I did nothing. Well I probally cried.

if you are an American Citizen, you should speak English.
I dont care where they came from to be a US Citizen you should be able to speak English. My Grandma is an illegal immigrant..

Yea what's the deal with that. When everyone in my family became citizens, back in the 70's I think, they needed to learn english. There is not a single person in my family that doesn't speak english. They may have bad accents but they sure as hell learned english.

That may not sound like a big deal but my extended family is upwards of 175 people, and all but 8 of us were born in Portugal.

Basically my rant is, LEARN ENGLISH.

          Joker,
I'm an american indian and to me your the thief immigrant.
You need to think about that. Maybe, everyone should choose a one indian language and that should be the national language.
I think this thread needs to be closed.

Whoever wrote that hit the nail on the head.

            About the immigrant arguement:
I wouldn't consider myself an immigrant. I was born here along with ALOT of my family. Just because my ancestors hopped off a boat ages ago doesn't mean I'M an immigrant. I have just as much right to be in my country as the Native Canadians/Americans. If you think otherwise you're a tool.

How long has that speech been floating around the web? Three years?

I've seen it credited to George Carlin, Ted Nugent, Rush, and a handful of other well known conservatives.

Doesn't mean it's not true, which it is, I just think its funny that people feel they need to attach some famous person to it to make it credible.

It would be just as true if FooTemps had written it.

Last time I checked it wasn't the liberals that were smuggling drugs into the country or killing people.

"Big trucks" are no more dangerous than any other forms of transportation. I guarantee there are probably more people out there that died in accidents with their honda civics than people in "big trucks" Most people who lift their trucks to extreme heights and put 44's on them have many safety factors thought of. Most of the time these "big trucks" have full roll cages, 5 point racing harnesses, and some big bad brakes for some big bad stopping power. I would rather drive a big truck anyday than ride a motorcycle (wayy more dangerous) and get sucked underneath a semi.

BTW if you didn't already i'm a Four Wheelin fan... I AM!

Gotta lift the old 76 f-250 and put some 39.5's on it

still more about the "big trucks"

                        Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off topic

Almost forgot to mention a few more things about the "big trucks"... most of them have heavy duty recovery equipment and tools on board. What would be more unsafe... on the side of the road with a flat in your little car with a rinkedy scissors jack, a worthless tire iron, and a donught for a spare, or having a flat and being able to jack it up with a nice hydraulic bottle jack, having an on-board compressor for a impact wrench, and a full size spare in the bed of the pickup?

Also, most these beasts have a slew of gauges monitoring everything... engine temp, transfer case temp, water temp, slush-box temp, electrical charge... just about anything you want to know has a gauge for it. Another thing they usually have is a fire extinguisher mounted in the cab, easily accessible for any emergencies. Not many vehicles on the road have that.

God I hope thats not the only case.

as a native american you have more of a right to be here than i do
Not necessarily. More on that later.

i alsohave some distant native american ancestors on my moms side
I think that lots of us do. I think that should keep our minds open to at least a few things.

so i have nothing against yall and yall were most certainley here when the contry was formed.. but before you call us thieves and the like what would the world be like today if america was never colonized?
I overreacted and honestly chose bad wording. I wanted to drive my point home. Anger lead me to choose harsh wording.

whould yall native americans still be primitive or what?
Thats subjective at best. For myself as an adult, I have chosen not to be religious in the sense of many. That I believe makes me a heathen. But most likely your right, it would have still been primitive and someone else would have come along and done their damage.

who knows you cant change the past so why fight about it now?
We need to remember it. My point all along is that there is many who come to our great country and contributed. Contributed, I believe is the key word here.

you should really have the most pride for america outta anybody i mean it is your homeland that was turned into suxh a great thing
I find it hard it when people want things to be exclusive. It smacks of facism. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying open the doors and let everyone in. Everyone needs to follow the rules.
I believe that america needs and has immigrant workers. For the most part the average american has no interest in working in the field. We love to eat the food though. So I'm not sure what the answer is there.
The America I want to live in needs to come to terms with all these issues. There are other religions. There are other languages. No, I'm not asking everyone to be overly accommodating, but what I am saying is practice the ideals our grandparents might have taught us and the propaganda we spread throughout the world.
                          Land of the free.
I think the morals that we claim we all want to get back to has merit. It doesn't need to be exclusive with regards to how long you've been here or anything else for that matter.
If you are following the laws of our land and not sucking the life out of America that's great with me. Step forward and contribute. Don't stand there and whine that someone else is taking advantage of you or your family.
I like everyone else for the most part agree fundamentally with the original post/quotes. It's ultimate motivations worries me.
I don't want to live in a country elitism and exclusivity are the rule.
America should be better than that. It is up to us to find the way.
