        Dude that sucks.
My cat is the same age and he is getting old.. He had an eye infection but we had it treated.. I'm still worried about him getting kind of old but he has been acting a little younger lately..
I'm really sorry to hear about your cat, thats horible and I would feel the same if I lost my cat..
Cats are wonderful animals, they can cheer you up so much.

We have 4 cats. We had 2 and one got pregnant and had 4 kittens. I felt REAL bad when we had to take 2 of the kittens to the humane society. I know how you are feeling right now. Recently my 3 1/2 year old cat went away for 8 days and came back 3 days ago bone skinny (he used to be like 20 pounds). Ever since then he has just laid down and eaten. We think he may be sick/dying

                  Sorry for rambling.

Ultimator: if all he does is always want to eat he may have a hyperactive thyriod ( my cat had that along with lower urinary track infection but they wernt related)

i can't really say i've lost a pet but i had a bunch of them taken away.. my rents made me get rid of them and it was 2 german sheperds and a rotwiler germansheperd mix... when i had to get rid of then i felt horrible and i still hate my rents... now they bought a stupid shihtzu and it's the stupidest dog in the world...

but yeah.... i feel for you
