And the Shocker eats gas. It needs a HUGE tank, that doesn't mean it's a good thing. So, this card needs more power than is currently available to gcards, does that mean it's better? NO.

VisionTek is just a brand and your laptop is running a GeForce4 GO card which doesn't even have a lot of the features a GeForce3 has. Although its stil a great card and awesome amount of power in a laptop. ATI is find for lowerend cards and people who cannot afford Nvidia. I put them in computers I sell if they don't want to pay to much or don't mind the speed loss.Originally posted by Telefragged
Ever considered a VisionTek GeForce, I've got on in my laptop and its got incredible rendering and framerate. Possible output is higher than an Nvidia or ATI. BTW, ATi = Problems, lots of them.

Carmack has since changed his mind about the new ATI cards.

ps If I can find his exact quotes I'll add them in laterWhen that eight foot tall goon is tapping the back of your favorite head against the wall, and asks, "Have you paid your dues?"...You tell him what old Jack Burton tells him...You tell him, "The checks in the mail".
