Well its off to Ft Collins in two weeks where I'll be atending colorado state university and I was wondering if any one knows the school or the town. THe fact that I've never been there and I'll be moving there is kind of scary. I was wondering if that school has any kind of intercolleigte paintball team or any thing. In the residence hall hand book it didnt say anything about haveing markers in the dorm room but other schools noted specifacly that paintball guns arent allowed. Maybe thats a good sign. Also anything about the ski areas around would be cool to know to. I hear its real nice in colorado they claim 300 days of sunshine a year so thats good. Really good for a Hawaii boy that has only seen snow a couple of times in fact I saw snow falling for the first time this spring break. Guess ill be seeing a lot this winter. Hope i can handle. thanks to anyone who gives me some info. Adam
CSU Any one know anything about it?

If they don't state anything about it, I might make a few telephone inquiries to the "public safety" department. Irregardless of what they have to say, due to the lack of info on it; it seems to be a don't ask don't tell policy.
I mean don't make it obvious that you have one, by leaving it lay around, shooting it in your dorm, or running around the hall like a madman with it
j/k
As for your inquiry as to whether CSU has a paintball club/college team check out
the National Collegiate Paintball League and a slightly older related site.
Also, I'm sure that once you get on campus there will be some sort of information day... Mill about and see if there just happens to be a paintball club or some other extreme sports club. You might be surprised.
Anyways, enjoy your time in college... make the most of it. Oh and learn some things too!

I'm not under the alkafluence of inkahol that some thinkle peep I am. It's just the drunker I sit here the longer I get... -
Re: CSU Any one know anything about it?
Hey man! Yeah I almost went to CSU. Was registered and everything, backed out last minute. The place is awesome. That have a great intermural program as a whole, but I'm not sure about paintball. Probably wouldn't be hard to get one together though. I didn't consult the official rulings but the RD that I talked to said he didn't care about the paintball gun as long as it was locked up, but they were pretty wary of compressed gas and CO2 cylinders. Yeah, 300 days of sun is about right. That doesn't mean it's warm all the time though. Last few winteres have been pretty mild though.Originally posted by adam68c

Also remember, like I said in my other post... While there may not be an explicit "paintball club" there may be some other extreme adventure/outdoor club that may play paintball.
You might want to look into that if CSU has some sort of student organization info day. Where I went to school (Marquette) there wasn't necessarily a paintball club, but there was a club called the "avalanche outdoors club" which did go paintballing on occasion. Hey at least it was a start!
Once again, good luck with your freshman year!!! And don't forget to study, well at least sometimes
