hey i just wanted to comment. i saw this thread and then went back to read the june apg. i would never have figured that the way he described the "un-churched" would bother anyone. i think that maybe the staff writer was trying to use a politically correct term and did more harm than good. but i think that some terms are seen as derogatory by some but not by others. im Christian and proud of it but i dont dislike other people for not being Christians. i try and treat everyone with respect. ive never actually used the word "un-churched" before. i usually say "they dont go to church" like i would say "they dont wash their hands after the go to the bathroom" its just a statement. i would hope that no one feels disrespected by my saying something like that. well maybe those that dont wash their hands should feel slightly disrespected but no one else.
