AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
SNES by far, i just got done beating Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the past for like the thosandth time, the Gameboy advance is cool since it's porting alot of SNES games like Super Mario World
I'm no massive RPG fan, and so maybe its that, but I really don't understand why everyone goes spongiform when asked to reminisce the snes.
I played FF6 up until a point where i needed to find clock times, but the enemies that randomly popped up (random = every 2 seconds) were all impossible to beat and I got terribly terribly bored
Same with Chrono Trigger (which I was told was 'OMG OMG BEST GAME EVER SPOOGE1!1').
Even Super Mario 3 bored me, It got stupid, with the capes and the fruity dinosaur and the inability to control that plumber guy (Super Mario on the gameboy is probably one of my favourite platformers ever). Sonic, in my humble opinion, is FAR FAR superior.
The only game I really enjoyed was Super Metroid, because it was actually challenging without being frustrating.
Over rated console, imo
What about the SNK machine?!?! Nothing can beat KOF, or Metal Slug... NOTHING!

How could you forget game gear as well i mean Sega did things with it that took the Game Boy years to do heres a list of my stuff: 3 NES,2 SNES,1 Genisus,1 Game Gear,1 Playstation,1 XBOX,1 Game Boy And I got a crap load of games prob 100 of just NES and SNES games. Oh almost for got I have the Super Famicom adapter for the SNES and a few of those games.
my first console was an atari combat. it had 2 sets of tank control levers on it. it played 2 tank games and 2 airplane games.
i had a 2600 as well.
does anyone remember intellivision.(PIX! PIX! PIX! for all you in the new york metro area who watched channel 11).
i still have a sega master system and my snes, cant throw them out! snes has great games. final fantasy 2 rules.
now i just game on my pc. you can find emulators for many of the classic console systems if you poke around. there are a lot of people out there who refuse to let this stuff die(thank god).
Old school- You can't beat SNES for it's number of greats. I think every genre could be pleased by this system. This is still the only system I enjoy fighting games on(Killer Instinct, Street Fighters, Mortal Kombats) and tons of awesome RPGs(Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana, Zeldas) Lots of good platformers(Marios, Super Metroid, Donkey Kong) and one of my favorite games never ever seen again except one lame attempt on N64, Pilotwings. I loved that game! I think I would buy a gamecube if they resurrected it!
Still, I voted PS2. I guess because of it's modern day originality. It's not just porting games from other systems, it has a lot of it's own greats and some creativity. I seem to enjoy the games a little bit more, but SNES had such replayability compared to PS2! I don't find myself beating most of these games repeatedly, but I still get more enjoyment out of PS2 for some reason. It seems with these modern day systems you see a lot more games that you wouldn't play if you were paid to, and not so many on SNES. Still, had to vote PS2 just because I dislike Xbox so much.

From what I remembered I didn't like it. I didn't play very long, but maybe I just wasn't used to joysticks at the time. Still, penguin diving should be a seperate game itself. I wish I could find my old game
