quit being stubborn... life is too short.

i'm sitting here at my mothers house, listening to her ***** about the simplest of things. my step dad is doing a good job of not getting mad, i don't see how. My mother is in a huge stubborn, selfish, and ignorant mood right now. she usually is happy unless you try to tell her something that goes against her beliefs.

i don't want to be here giving you guys more wisdom and crap that you will think about for 10 minutes then forget, but i feel like letting of some steam.

my parents argue over things that are so little and pointless. my mom will make up all this useless **** just to prove a point. she'll raise her voice and get really angry over little things. you can tell she gets bothered easy.

life is too short for that kind of ****. you can't just argue over little things like that just for the sake of arguing. If something your friend, or anyone close to you says bothers you, just LET IT SLIDE. honestly, is it worth spending the hour of fighting that gets you NOWHERE? What do you yelling is going to do for you? You aren't going to prove your point if your friend/partner is willing to yell back, and thats simply because they are acting in the same way that you are.

Don't let little things annoy you... why should they? People can tell when you're being stubborn. They will let you know. If you get angry at them for that, then you really need to look at yourself and realize what you're doing.

earlier today i showed my mom a website that gave listings for houses in the areas she is interested in. (she's looking to move, which i know makes her stressful, but she need not be so unhappy) and she quickly dismissed the website, closed it, and showed me her website where "only realtors can get into". she wouldn't even look at the list of 32 houses i had found, when she could only find about 5 on her website. Why be like that? she could be missing a great house because of her stubborn attitude. Is it really worth that just so that you can be unhappy?

why is it that people make themselves more pissed off? many people i know seem like they are actually trying to be unhappy. what kind of jack **** is that? They're pissed off at something or another, then they become snappy, stubborn, and flat out mean. is that going to improve their mood? do people gain comfort by making others feel like ****? Couldn't she have tried to be nice? maybe if she tried to be kind and considerate, others around her would respond in the same way, and she could feel better.

its the little things that will bring you down. just let it fly.

thats my wisdom for the day.

be happy. i hate useless fighting.

yeah, I hear ya dude. And I know what you mean. I don't know that there's anything I can tell ya that would make any difference, but it sounds like you are trying to adopt a really good attitude about it.

If it really bums you out, let's talk about it here if you like, or PM me or someone if you want to.

    I hear ya man.

I'm w/ fatty on this one, you seem to be doing a pretty good job of dealing w/ all this. I know exactly where you're coming from too. I get the same stuff from my 'rents all the time. Real pain in the arse. I know I'll be dancin' up a storm when a move back to school in a week...
Off-topic, sorry dude! Just take it in stride & everything'll work out for hte best.

my mom is the same way. i've given up trying to reason with her. i've come to the conclusion that nothing i say will ever make a difference. now i just yes her to death no matter how ridiculous what she says is. if it doesn't directly affect me i just let it slide. it's not worth the effort of talking to her otherwise.

haha, my dad is some what like that.

me and his girlfriend team up on him, its really funny.

if he says something that we know is wrong and we say so, he goes into explaining all this crap and we're like "yaaah yaah you're right whatever old italian guy."

then i go over and punch him in the tummy and we box. my dad is cool.

Jonno, good for you. Its good that you can let it just pass you by. Thats what i was trying to say with my post in a way. Don't let it get you down.

magking, i'm 16 (well in a few weeks) so the girls around me are more into just having fun. BUT, i can see what you mean.
