I just installed my new McAfee version 6 scanner, heard good and bad, I got it for free so I'm not complaining. What do you guys think is the best scanner out there today? I heard the Norton one is unbeatable.

Well..IMHO, they're all about the same. Some virus strings, Mcaffee has the vaccine (virus definitions to detect and repair/quarantine infected files)out first, others,norton does.
Your best bet is to find which one you like the interface of be it Mcaffee, norton or whoever and stick with it. It's also a good idea to find out what the updates cost.
I know with Norton I got a full year's virus definition update for like 7$. Every three months they release a patch that has all the known viruses and their fixes. Keep in mind if a new virus comes out tomorrow.. once they have a fix..you can go on their site and download the fix for free (granted you bought the virus update for X amount of money)
