    He-Man.. Masters of the Universe!

lol.. I really never post in this forum, but had to bring this one to attention.

How many of you remember growing up watching He-Man?

I was just up late, and found out that the cartoon network is premiering a new He-Man series this weekend.

Here's a link for those interested.

Yes, this is a grown adult talking about a cartoon show. What can I say, it brings back childhood memories.

We had all the good cartoons in the eighties man. We got He-Man, Transformers, GoBots, Thundercats, and of course the immortal G.I.Joe. Staying on topic though, He-Man did rock. I'm guessing you saw the movie they made in '89. Personally, I liked it. I thought it was pretty well done and had a kickbutt performance by Frank Langella. He nailed Skeletor. (By far the coolest caracter too.)

I knew there had to be a few other fans in here, other than myself. Most of us who were born in the late 70s and the early 80s grew up on cartoons like He-Man, G.I Joe, Transformers and such.

When I saw the pics, they brought back so many memories and I couldn't resist!

Now to go set that VCR....

Hehe..oh the great days of great cartoons..He-man, transformers, thundercats, silverhawks, gi-joe...but none of them had a bigger impact on my eagerness to go home and watch cartoons other than Robotech!! Robotech was like the soap opera for boys! LOL! The good ol' 80s!!

I have 5 of those and my cousin had another one!

I love how all of the names end in "or"

Skeletor, Webstor, Spydor, Rotor, etc. haha

I can't believe I can't remember this, but what is the name of the little wizard guy?

His toy had a pull cord that would get him spinning and doing all sorts of cool things.

The coolest He-Man toy, I think, was Spydor. It was the first true crawler bot! hahaha

I just watched the new version. It went through how he aqquired the Sword, and gained his powers (got really buff in a flash of lightning and supernatural power!).

Still has the stupid "wizard" sidekick, but the tiger is looking baaaad!

wow that was so weird watching the new one. i probably would've liked it better if it wasn't he-man. watching the new style and remembering the old one is what threw it off. the flipping and twirling is cool but is the major contributor to the weird feeling. also i miss the huge echoey voice of the old he-man. it just seemed to go along with the massive physique, super strength, and loss of most of his clothes.
