Need opinions on subwoofer for my car.

I need some help choosing a sub and amp for my car. I'm really looking for sound quality over spl. I don't know a lot about car audio so I need some help from those audiophiles out there.

I'm looking to spend under $500. Also, I really only need one sub.

For the amp I was looking at the jl audio 250/1. I've heard that they are very dependable and sound good too. If it makes any difference I have a kendwood z828 head unit.

For the sub I'm looking at the jl audio 12w3.


I'm open to suggestions. I want tight accurate bass. Thanks for your help.

JL Audio is the best for the money. I wouldnt buy anything else. But I dont like Kenwood decks. For $500. it might be hard to get a good amp and sub... good luck

I can get the amp for 300 shipped new and I can get the 12w3 for $200 or less shipped.

I just wanted to know if that sub and amp would produce tight accurate sound.
