you can create a new partion...leaving your old one intact. You must use the same file type or you wont be able to access the old info..It will also change your drive letters.

Burn it all out to CDs then reformat the whole thing. Unless you have some crazy amount of stuff on there. Then just burn out what you want and toss the rest.

I guess this all depends if you have a burner or not.

No. You will loose everything (and thats bad). You should back-up everything first to CD-RW or tape and then reinstall everything. And BE CAREFUL one wrong step any you are in deep stuff.

You might want to consider sending it to a PC repair/upgrade place (Best Buy and Circuit City do not count).

Why do you want it done?

have enough computer info to build one my self, so i did.
it is a 30gb hard drive partitoned 5for c and 25 drive d, the plan was to install windows and important system suff on c and leave the rest on d. worked good, untill millions of xp updates and a few other things filled up drive c. there is nothing i can really delete of of it and i still have some space of drive d, but it is working its way full, i dont want to reformat or back up the thing and to that cause bout 20 gb is a lot of cds. anybody with any better ideas feel free to chime in

there are partintioning on the fly programs out there such as partintion magic and the like...

if you go somewhere like zdnet, cnet, etc and search on it you should find it... granted the cost $$$$ they should be high then $50 and are probly lower by now for an older version....

Best bet... buy another hard drive (20 gb or so)... copy everything from the c drive to it... and anything from D that you want... then reformat the 30 gb for 1 partition. Once done.. bootup from the new 20 gb drive and now you have the problem solved without worry of losing important info.
