Safe download program?

I want Kazaa or Morpheus, but Im not sure which one to get. I want a safe and fast one. I dont want to download virus' and crap. Anyone have any input?

Dude......your dumb. kazaa and morpheous are fine..I like kazaa better due to the fact that I get more hits. You won't get viruses if you do whatr I told you to do forever and a day ago....DL'd zonealarm and buy Norton NOW.

Wingman, calling him dumb was quite uncalled for. He's not dumb, just misinformed. And Hemlock for your first question I would suggest Kazaa Lite (Lite version has no spyware to "watch" your computer). You can get it here (right-click and select Save-As). It might be an old version but when you install it and run it it'll automatically download updates.

As far as viruses are concerned, you can get them through any P2P sharing program simply by downloading a file. One thing, never, NEVER download a .EXE or .COM file and run them. They can have virii attached to them. You can download .MP3s, Movies (.ASF, .MOV, .WMF, .MPEG/.MPG) without worry.

If you're worried about possibly getting a virus you can download FREE virus scanner software here (That's a 8.9 Megabyte file, if yer on a dial-up modem it might take a while to download . It's AVX Anti-Virus scanner, one of the best free ones out there in my opinion. It doesn't eat up alot of resources when it runs and is relatively easy if you're somewhat computer savvy.

Well, I got a Virus from Morpheous before and dont want it to happen again. Im just going to get Internet security from a friend before I start to DL... Wingman is just mad because he hasnt had internet access for 2 months. No Wolfenstien for U!!!! retard

If you get kazaa, download Diet K. It gets rid of the pop-up ads, spyware, banners, and the extra buttons (bonzi, shopping). It also works with Grokster and Morpheus. I've been using it for about two weeks, and I love it. Kazaa without the downside. If you pay a buck, you can also change the start page to whatever you want (it changes it to dietk.com).
