my board (ride-lowrider) used to ride nasty.. then i brought it in for a p-tex and the dude kept the iron on one spot to long and it bubbled up. after that it rode like poopy. i bear with it though. last year towards the end of the year i started riding alot of woods trails(you know.. like inbetween 2 trails where your not supposed to ride) with my friend.. he ski boards(loser). its really fun though. sometimes you find knocked down trees that you can board slide on and once in a while a very small cliff(5 feet or so) to jump off of. the "cliffs" are my fav. because you always land in like 3 feet of powder. these trails are like 1 and 1\2 feet wide.

YES! those are exaxtally what im talkin about! at my mtn, on one of th trails there is a curve that is about 3 feet highter than the rest of the trail, if you dont take it, you go intot his great little woods trail, with trees, mini cliffs and everything, its so much fun.

Also, does any one just get pure enjoyment of casrving the hell out of a nig easy ling trial? like after a long dsay of riding, that is what i love to do. you kno when it starts to get a little dark, 10 mins or so before they shut down the ski lifts...yea thats the stuff, thats what i like to do

any1 ever c snowboard academy? if you havent.. rent it.. it gets you in the biggest snowboarding mood. magman i love the tree trails. i also enjoy visiting a green dot once in a while so i can hear the "wow" as i wizz passed. i go to mount snow VT like everyweekend in the winter b\c my best bro has a cabin like 5 feet away. sometimes we go from 8 in the morning to 4. we get on the last lift open and wait about 15 minutes at the top of the mountain.. then we are positive nobody is on the trails but us.. that is the best time to go as fast as you can. but if you are gonna do that i suggest getting yellow goggles cause its really hard 2 c sumtimes.

i always use clear, and maybe a black tint every so often, but i usually use clear, im not too bought on the different colored lenses, even when im shooting, i always use clear lenses. tried orange, yellow, amber and some others, but they just distort the distances it seems.. and you dont want that to happen tree-weaving...

I would suggest looking into Ride boards. They're a pretty good all around board. Great for just riding powder in the backcountry and have more than enough pop for the park. Most of my friend's ride burtons and have let me borrow them and the only complaint that I have with them is that they have a really weak top coat. They all take real good care of them but if you barely hit it on something it chips. I used my Ride like 30 times last season and have yet to put a chip in it.

I've ridden one ride...didnt like it. felt like the edge was plastic (but it was supposedly recently sharpened....)

I've now got a somewhat old school Santa Cruz XXX. NICE *** BOARD, except for the friggen straight side walls that get big *** gashes whenever i ride glades. My XXX is a 151...step up from my K2 JuJu 143. Teenie little feller. I've been riding the 2nd generation K2 stepins for prolly 4 years or so now....Never had the money or will to upgrade, but its gonna have to happen this year. 10.5 boots and 12.5 feet are NOT a nice mix.

                          I'm definately going regular straps...or ill flow's if i fine some i like. mmmm....flows :)

Anyhow, The Zepplin is not for folks who like to venture into the park. I dunno how much they cost, but I bet for straight free riding there are better boards out there. When my buddy who's incredibly good at snowboarding got his Palmer, he said he was afraid of it (like a fast car), cuz it was too easy to go fast and hard to control.

which one didnt you like? the powers? person musta lied, because with a sharp edge its hella crisp. THe palmers are a littel intimidating, and hard to control, remember Sean Palmer was a boarder x rider towards the end, alot of the palmers are hella stiff, with a double i beam construstion, but there really nice.

Also for prue powder riders, the burton fish is nice
