Cleveland Airshow Pics (and lots of 'em)

Spent a few hours at the Cleveland Airshow today. It was a blast (same as last year) only I bought my camera this time. You cant really put into words what its like to see an aircraft fly at 600mph seemingly right over your head (although they are a little farther away than that ), but it is a sight everyone should see at least once in their life! Seeing a demo (even made for show) of America's most powerfull aircraft truely is awe-inspiring.

A-10. This is the plane that would really scare the crap out of me if I was on the "wrong side" of a war...

Every 17 seconds it can do another straffing run, so working in pairs every 8 seconds they can fire 17 rounds/second of big-ol' depleted uranium shells at you...

(this is an earlier model, note the off-set nosegear to allow the gun to be centered)

A b-25. The sign said it flew 53 missions.

The same Corsair preparing for takeoff with a Zero (built for and used in the movie Tora! Tora! Tora!)

The sexiest plane EVER! (and one I hope to be flying in a few years), the F-16

The Thunderbirds did a nice demonstration. I recommend seeing them or the Blue Angels asap. They are amazing in person (my photography skills dont do them justice )

You know they aren't as close as they look when they fly past eachother (a few moments after this pic), but it still makes your heart stop, because it is soooo darn fast.

Thats a B-25 Mitchell medium bomber... not a B-29, which is a LOT bigger.

Those are badass pics man... nice photography :-)
