Gotta call a few people out for explanations! If you don't cheer for the team where you live, I think you need to start explaining! Transplants, relatives, and lack of a home team are all acceptable explanations.

I'll explain since you asked. First of all, I never really bought into the whole "root for the home team" thing. I chose sports teams I like for various reasons and I am stoically loyal, through anything for them. I don't think that just because I don't live near them makes me any less of a fan. I think it's all about the loyalty and how much you know about them. I live outside of Kansas City, and we have the Chiefs, but I've never been a Chiefs fan. I've been a Niners fan since I was little...it started by liking the uniform then as I got old enough to understand the game I really liked the west coast offense and it's little intricasies. Montana, Rice, Taylor, Lott, Craig, Rathman, these were my heroes early on. I tried as a teenager to get behind the Chiefs a little, but I hated how they ran their ball club. Every position was a committee, they always got has-been's instead of marquee draft picks. Just a boring franchise really. So I didn't feel bad about not rooting for them...they weren't my team.

The Niners enjoy a lot of success and have for a long time, but I was never a bandwagoner. They were 6-10 just a couple years ago and I rooted just as hard for them then as I do now. I'm also a Notre Dame fan, because they have a great tradition, great team, and I'm of Irish decent. But, I've never been to Indiana nor did I go there for college. I looove the Celtics for the same reasons. Never been to Boston though. I just think that wherever you are, you can be free to choose who you like regardless of who the home team is.

I only root for home teams, PATS all the way. Hey "The Creature" where in N.Andover you from? My wife lived off of 125 behind Merrimac.

Hmmm, don't really have a favorite since I was a continual drifter all my life...... I guess I'll have to say NFL is Steelers (New home town) and College is SJSU (ALMA MATER- I went to school with Jeff Garcia) and PSU(Attending).

Defense has been beefed up, a young fresh crew of wide recievers and the only 3 time MVP in NFL history to call the plays. After looking at training camp and the softness of the rest of the league, it is fair to say that the Packers will win.

I love tampa bay. now before you go ahead and call me a front runner.
I liked them from around 2 seosons ago, when i saw their game aganst the rams and they won. then i just loved them. and that game they still had a losing record.

Denver Broncos are my favorite. But I like all of the teams except the Green Bay Packers (Yes, this includes the Bears and the Cowboys )
