Did a couple days in the field for evals (more pics added)

Hey guys, I just got back from the field:

Watched the transports come in low for palleted extractions:

and another...

SF guys don't wait for the bird to land..

They don't wait for their gear either..

Nothing to do but hang around a pleasant Sunday morning..

"Hey! Stay off my truck fella!"

...and then land after they are empty.



I was out there to assist the SF guys in mortar maintenance. I can't show you any pics of the SF guys up close. If I did.....I'd hafta kill ya

Cool Army. I remember seeing Fat Albert, the Blue Angels C-130 take off using those rockets to help it get in the air. Needless to say I was impressed by the sight.

cool Army, glad to see your back. Those pictures kinda remind me of Dover AFB in deleware. When i drive by there, there are always the transports comming oin, nad htere so huge they lok like you could touch them... Its sorta a family tradition to open the sun roof and reach up to try to touch them....wow that sounded really sad...

Those birds were coming in over our outside perimeter, we could hit them with a rock they were so close!

I have to concur with Dansim, I've always heard it as "Ho-Ah" not "Ho-Rah".

Im sure Army could correct us, I could be wrong.

Ask my Dad, 2 tours in the Marines in Viet Nam. I was "corrected" enough growing up to know there's an r in it for Marines.

I have heard the Army has no R in it.

I however, still fear my 60 year pop enough to say HOORAH!

Facts would be correct in this that the army says it without an R and the Marines with an R. As a former Marine Combat Engineer we would always get a kick out of hearing the army saying it that way ...

A little piece of trivia ... HOOOOOOAAAHHHH (as Army spells it) ... was what the Brits used in the Revolutionary war as a battle cry. The colonists actually used Huzzah (however you spell it) ...

But Facts is correct in the Marines it's Hoorah (Silent H) with an R ... or just a good ole Devil Dog growl/bark ...
