How were HG Wells and Jules Vern wrong about the future?

    Just list some facts.

I know this is a strange topic, but could someone help me out?

I thought George Orwell wrote 1984?

Well, this isn't really about the future, but in the beginning of the Time Machine, when Wells has his Time Traveller explaining the 4th dimension (time)...I always find that cool. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't know if it is in there.

It sounds really good, but it's not accurate. But very good for being written when it was.
